As part of its corporate social responsibility, Bakandamiya Global Concept Ltd takes it upon itself, from time to time, to organize relevant events to enlighten the community on different aspects of human endeavor. This year, it organized a special Ramadan webinar with the intention of helping the community members to make better decision when preparing their Ramadan meals. Hence the event theme was, Ramadan Recipes 2025: Varieties, delicacies and healthy choices.
The event was a two-day webinar – 24th and 25th of February 2025. It was conducted on the Bakandamiya LLC WhatsApp group platform from 8:00pm to 10:00pm on both days.
The resource person was Shaima Alhussainy of Halal Madbakh.
First Day
On the first day of the webinar, the presenter focuses on the importance of eating healthy food, especially during breaking of fast (Iftar). She emphasized that most people experience all sort of stomach upset and discomfort during Ramadan because of their eating habit during Iftar. That during Iftar, people are supposed to start with light meals such as fruit salads, soups and other food of such nature. That fried food and heavy food should be consumed much later. This practice will prepare our stomachs to be ready to process and digest food effectively. She mentioned that most people are stomach ulcer patients today and those people should avoid breaking their fast with sour food, spicy food and fried food or any other oily food. She gives a lot of examples of the kind of food to be consumed, such as light vegetable soups (shurba), lamb soups, chicken breast soups, Balaah (date soaked in low-fat milk), yoghurts and the likes. She concluded the day’s talk by sharing two recipes to emphasize on the discussion of the day. The recipes are Lentils soup (Shurba Adas) and Lamb potatoe soap (shurba).

Second Day
Day-2 was basically a continuation of where she stopped from day-1. It was more of discussion on different recipes, so naturally recipes were shared. But the difference this time around, general recipes that can be enjoyed during Ramadan and beyond were shared. Some of the recipes are as follows.
Chicken potato salad, mahshi baib, chicken salad, pineapple juice, vegetable rice, mixed fruit smoothie, beef wraps and lots more. You can also explore more Ramadan recipes on Bakandamiya Kitchen.
At the end of the last day, it was clear that knowledge had been impacted, and participants were delighted. There was a lot of interaction from the participants asking different questions and commendations. Almost all questions were answered, and clarifications were made on some content shared.
The event, which was attended by over 300 participants, finally ended at around 10:00 pm on 25 February 2025.
